What is the rib looking for?

Women are intricate beings. The big question is why did God create women in this manner?

Let us go to the beginning, shall we? God made the Garden of Eden and when He finished He said, “It is good”. He then took sand and formed a man in the ground and He created Adam. Adam was not lonely. Adam was with God. He would never be lonely because God was always there. The reason why Eve was created from Adam’s rib (Genesis 2:22-23) is that every woman possesses the rib the counter gender needs.

Some may ask, “If that’s the case, why are women so complicated?” Well, you see at times women do not know what they want. They want to be loved, but not suffocated. To be kept but also have independence. To have a gentleman but he must also excite us. To be respected but at the same time, we want him to know how to take charge. The list really goes on and we really just do not know what we want when it comes to men. However, simply because we are indecisive about men does not mean it applies in all areas.

The exact reason why women are so complicated may be difficult to find. Regardless of that women should be respected. This is shown through love.

Yes, that cliche red heart makes women go crazy. We want to love. Why? Well, touch your rib. It is strong but tender, firm but soft and not to mention it protects the heart and lungs from any damage. It is dynamic and that is the thing with us women, we are dynamic. We are forever changing. Whether it is learning and applying the latest trends to our closet or paying excessive amounts for someone else’s hair. We are forever changing and it is not a bad thing, it is just something guys find difficult to understand.

You see the girl you mack on is not the same one that will be crying and stuffing her face with ice cream and chocolate when you break her heart. The girl you show your game to will be sexy, fun, interesting, and obviously flirt back but when she is your bae the standards change. Things have now changed. She expects more now. She expects love, she wants the dangerous and no longer truly understood word and concept called Love. Why? Because her desire subconsciously is to see if she is your rib.

The next question is, did God know women would be like this? There are many categories of women. Like it or not guys, women are not all the same. We possess the same characteristics but act upon them in different ways. By characteristics, women are all complicated, romantic, emotional the list goes on but we still have categories such as;
-Hopeless romantic
-Independent
-Dependent
-Baby Mama (nowadays…)
-Girl Player
-Major Trust Issues
-” Christian girls”, and the most famous one of them all
-The Gold Digger, all of these categories possess 50% of the same traits. Basically, how we all behave towards the opposite sex. The rest of it is made up of their own personality, style, likes, dislikes, and so forth.

Well if you know all this information why are we still not being treated as princesses of the Most High? Women have insecurity problems. These things are a whole world on their own. It is a sad but true fact. We do not love ourselves and loving yourself is the starting point for everything in life. We want to be thin because we think it is in, then thick because it might be the right trick, tall so those clothes can fit from the mall, and light because everyone says it is right.

Insecurities really tear down at a woman and it takes a long time for us to be comfortable within our skin. To look in the mirror and say, “I have these blemishes that will not go away, this tummy that is flat but still not 100% right, and these long legs that were once used for running and no African ass but you know what, I am happy with all I have” It takes a long time to accept what we have and not contently cry when we see filtered beautiful women on Instagram.

You see women are a lot of things, a lot but the one thing that is true within all of us is that we deserve to be treated and to act as we all come from the Most High. We deserve to be accepted for our dynamics, to have cared and most importantly to be loved. That is why Eve was created from Adam’s rib. Not because he needed a companion, but because Eve was that one thing that he lacked and God knew this.

Put aside all the thoughts you have about women or yourself. Women might be complicated but at the rib of it all, we all seek love and once we receive it we give it back wholeheartedly. You might have been hurt by a woman, you might call us, “liars, “the same”, crazy, and  complicated” but when you find your rib you will say,

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preserves.” 1 Corinthians 13:4

That’s what it means to find your rib. All the stereotypical views you hear and have been thrown out the window and what you are left with is Love. It’s what every woman is ultimately looking for.

Ladies, accept and love what you have because it is the Lord who gave it to you.
